SCARLET DARLIN’S TEA Minutes February 11, 2011

Mary welcomed the Ladies at 2PM and invited everyone to visit and review the wish list and volunteer worksheet, reminding them that the picture binder is available at the welcome table.  Pictures were taken. Everyone enjoyed the Valentine treats while visiting, A big thank you to the ladies for the decorations and treats.

 

Meeting was called to order.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Birthdays. Were celebrated by Rose Ann Owens and Betsey Corner.    Visitors: There was 1 visitor, Mary Ann Earls.

 

Lady Sunshine update, A note from Loli Norman was read, advising that she is on the mend.

 

Our new ID Badge was reviewed and a few more suggestions were received.  It was suggested that the Dates and Season be removed and the Name be placed on the bottom. It will be addressed at the next tea.

 

Carol Thornton asked if the ladies would like to eat before or after the outing to the Chandler Market, the outing is scheduled for the 3^rd Thursday of March. The sign up will be posted with the details.

 

Marlene Crawford, Pat Sublett & Betsy Corner are working on the April outings, They will be posted for sign up as soon as details are known.

 

The IKEA outing was a lot of fun.

 

The PJ Party was well attended considering all the other activities going on. Check out the pictures.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

We have been in contact with other Chapters in the Valley and have an invite to a charity event, it may be full by now but maybe if you want to go, you can follow up with the person listed.

 

Dorothy Schultz invited the Scarlet Darlin’s to participate in a skit for the next New Years Eve Party. After a brief explanation, she asked for volunteers. The matter will be discussed at the next tea.

 

Sue Stokes reiterated that Mary and Marion were coerced into being the co-queens but are doing a great job. 

 

The meeting was adjourned and the Judy Noble explained the program was to design and make Valentine Cards, everyone enjoyed the activity.
