Scarlet Darlin's November Tea Minutes

Marion welcomes everyone at 2:05 pm. Everyone was instructed to visit and enjoy the refreshments that reflected the season (Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream). The wish list and volunteer worksheet were passed around, and everyone was asked to please consider volunteering for an outing, Mary and I will assist with the outings as far as posting for sign up and making sure that enough drivers are available. The book of pictures was also be passed around. Cheryl came around and took pictures for our book.

Marion called the meeting to order at 2:30pm as some wished to attend the concert at 3.

OLD BUSINESS:
Birthdays for the month were identified and pictures were taken with Happy Birthday sung. There were no members requiring salutations from our Lady Sunshine. Our Lady Sunshine (Loli Norman) is scheduled for surgery in January and asked that someone else take over. Volunteers were requested with no one volunteering at this time.

It was mentioned that photos, minutes, events and information are posted on the website at www.sunscapervresort.info. Comments on the pictures and web postings are encouraged.

A buddy system was set up for the chapter members that do not have email. Please this is a reminder that they need to keep passing on the information,

It was discussed at length that we need volunteers for outings. Sandy encouraged everyone that for the most part it is not a lot of commitment to do an outing. We discussed the PJ party usually scheduled for February and were advised that the Park Party would probably not be held this season, therefore; we need only to organize for movies, games, crafts and finger foods. Cheryl Krone volunteered to organize the party. There were other outings that were set up for December, January, March & April. Thanks.

We did have a discussion about our direction; do we want to have outings? Do we draw names of those who have not volunteered during the season? Mary and I have stepped up but we can’t follow up on the volunteering. I think we will see how this next month goes!

NEW BUSINESS:
No new business was addressed? Since we were running out of time, we thought of this after the meeting broke up. We will discuss that the season run from October through April and whether we will collect minimal dues next season during the next tea.

Gathering wrapped up at approximately 3pm.
