The members were welcomed and invited to visit. Elaine Anderson & Billie Hering provided a lovely fall setting for the tea. Billie took pictures which I have set in a collage and will post to the website with these minutes.

The Volunteer Worksheet was passed around and those present filled in some of the openings. I would like to thank everyone, but need to point out that we still are not volunteering to set up outings. I am willing to help as much as I can. October outings were discussed, Cookie Jar lunch on Friday the 15th and a walking tour of Tucson on Friday the 29th. I will also have our wish list posted to the website to get ideas for the outings out there. Our guests were introduced: Cheryl Krone and Tina Green were visitors and have joined the Scarlet Darlin’s. Becki McChesney is a returning member and has been added to member list.

Marion asked for volunteers to 1. Keep the cabinets organized, and 2. Take pictures at the Scarlet Darlin’s function. Our new member Cheryl volunteered to keep the cabinets organized and offered to take pictures also. I would like to thank her for volunteering for both but would like another to volunteer for one of the tasks so she does not have to do both.

There were no members celebrating birthdays present this month. We discussed those needing our support and Lorna Hillery was sent a card of support by Loli Norman (Madame Sunshine) and Loli also provided a card (via Elaine) for Vee Lambert which we signed.

Elaine conducted a short game, and Tina Green won a Red Hat Poem, door prizes were drawn and many lovely Red Hat items (generously provided by LouAnn Copsey) were awarded: Joyce Bingenheimer, Tina Green, Betsey Corner, Delores Mitchell, Sandy Mueller, Mary Jane Bollig, Madeline Moore, & Lorraine Durkan.

Refreshments of a Jell-O Salad and a variety of cookies were enjoyed and we continued to visit before we dispersed. Our next tea is scheduled for November 12th. See you there.
