Hooah Sunscapers!

As of June 1st, if in case everyone doesn't know yet, I, Dale Schoeneberger, have taken over as interim manager. Since then, a lot has been happening in the park.

A big thank you to Fred and Alicia for spending many countless hours waxing and buffing the community center floor, it really looks great….

Another big thank you to our fire dept. Ron Stockall, Ron Francis and Howard Caires, responding to lot #148 park model fire. Although the kitchen was destroyed and there was extensive smoke damage throughout, their quick response and training putting out the fire saved what could have been a lot worse…..

Lee Williams, Mary Lawler, Nancy Loveland did a fabulous job putting on a Flag Day pot luck dinner and surrounding the parking lot with many American flags…..

We welcome Bret Harrsion, a part time maintenance man who brings some skills with him that will help our park maintenance program….

A water line has been run over to the shuffle board area, this should help them by not having to run over 100 feet of hose…..

The walls surrounding the swimming pool area have been painted inside and out……

The mini-golf area has been cleared, leveled and smoothed out and has given that area a new look…..

On June 2,2009, C H Grubb, (Sugar) pasted away, a memorial will be held October/November sometime…..

June 12, 2009, Mary Jane Kline and Sonny Bollig were united in marriage…

June 21 our summer activity committee had a very successful. Ice cream social…

Our medical response team answered four calls this month, lot #294 Ken Benning fell on kitchen floor, Lot #396 Ray Lovata had a diabetic attack, Lot #350 Dorothy Archer, possible heat stroke…Lot#294 Yvonne Benning fell in bathroom and could not get up, all doing good at this time….

The scheduled preventive maintenance on all the equipment and vehicles for June has been completed…The old railroad ties that make up the horseshoe pit have taken on a new look., neater, cleaner, and with a horseshoe rack…..The whole north wall, outside the park, has a fresh new paint job…..

July 4th Update

It is with my deepest regret to inform you that a friend and resident of Sunscape has passed away. Last night, July 3, 2009 approximately 8:00 PM Marion Bowen of lot # 324 passed away. No known details at this time as to the cause but will keep you informed as to the cause and services.
