2010 PARK PARTY ORGANIZATION MEETING

The 2009 winter season at Sunscape is almost over and the groundwork has started for the special 10th year anniversary Park Party. Many special volunteers made this year's event a success and hopefully they will be willing to provide their invaluable guidance in the 2010 Party planning. In early preparation for next year's Park Party a group of volunteers were organized to begin all of the initial work before leaving for the summer. The theme for the 10th year Park Party will be

"SUNSCAPE GOES HAWAIIAN"

So bring your island attire and be prepared for a great time. The Park Party is tentatively scheduled to begin on Friday March 12th with festivities continuing on Saturday March 13th. The following co-chairperson volunteers will comprise a Park Party Organizing Committee to assist in making the 2010-year Hawaiian style event a fantastic success:

An informal gathering was held on Sunday, March 29, 2009 to review the successes or trouble spots of the 2009 Party. This year's event and their respective volunteer committee chairperson summaries will assist in providing all of the foundation guidelines for the 2010 Party. The following items were discussed and represent only the basic event preparations:

Utilize Keepsake Dance as a possible kickoff for Park Party
Organize business contributions for prizes and drawings
Prepare and distribute park-wide invitations to the Party along with a personal schedule of events
Organize and widely publish a public schedule of events
Develop and run carnival style games
Develop a schedule of entertainment and a talent style show
Obtain and provide outside entertainment
Organize a catered style lunch/dinner
Organize snacks booths
Organize a Silent Auction
Organize a Bakery
Organize a Swap Meet
Organize a Saturday "Casino Night"
Organize the "Golf Cart Races"

During the off-season the 2010 Park Party Organizing Committee will continue to make preparations for the Park Party according to their volunteered assignments. All of the committee members will report their progress to the committee via the Internet and the Sunscape info website. At the beginning of the 2009 winter season the committee will again meet and begin final preparations for the Park Party. Suggestions for any Park Party activities or events are invited and can be forwarded to any of the organizing committee members.
