Dateline:Sunscape Park 5/9/07

We had a Block Watch presentation by Sgt. Stormy Wallace and Deputy Andrew Wickstrom of the Pinal County Sheriff's Dept. at 4 pm today. Eighty of our residents attended and learned many of the ways to protect themselves and our park. Booklets about home security and Block Watch methods were given out. Ways of securing belongings and our property were given. In the fall the Sheriff's Department will come out and etch vehicle windows with the VIN number of the vehicle to help prevent theft and identification should there be a theft. The booklets contain an inventory sheet to fill out listing possessions in case of loss. More sessions will be offered next season and hopefully have full park participation.

After the presentation we had hamburgers and bratwursts
with potluck dishes that were enjoyed by the attendees.
