Quilters Honor Role

Thanks

Dear Sunscape Friends,

Another season is winding down and we will be putting our machines away for a rest. We will be back in November sewing again.

We have been blessed to have so many wonderful ladies that like to get together and socialize while quilting. So many women go the extra mile and quilt at home during the week. Our quilters are Angels and work hard to fulfill the needs of so many.

We have made many quilts, lap rugs, Floor mats, pillows and Afghans for the needy and Shut Ins. At this time we have made around 450 quilts, blankets and lap rugs.

We give to twenty three areas of need. Just to name a few, Betty Byers Children Ministries in California, Eloy Thanksgiving, Crises Pregnancy Center in Florence, AZ, Hospice in Casa Grande, Family Resource Center in Coolidge, Casa Grande Regional Medical Center for Emergency Dept, Pediatrics & Obstetrics Unit, New Beginnings Church, M.A.S.H. Unit of Casa Grande, Resource Center of Eloy, and Men's Shelter of Eloy. We gave to the new family shelter in Casa Grande, as well. We give blankets to our park to auction off at the Park Party. There are many more, but too many for this letter.

We also want to thank all of you who have donated fabric, yarn and misc. items. As you know we need every ones help in our mission. We would welcome donations of most any thing. Quilt batting is $116 per roll and we use $300 & up for flannel, that we use to back quilts and for making baby blankets. We purchase this fabric from JoAnnes the day after Thanksgiving when we can purchase $6 & 7 dollar fabric for $1.25 a yard. We buy everything we need when on sale.

The sewing machines all need servicing, is there any one who can help us with this task? We have so little cash to work with. Management has given us the OK to sell some of our quilts to help finance our ministry to those less fortunate.
God bless all,
