The meeting was held at the Clubhouse. Chairperson Lynn Murphy called the meeting to order at 1:00p.m. The Roster was reviewed. If any listed member no longer wishes to participate please contact the Secretary Marilyn Fritch at mfritch@neo.rr.comOfficers for the 2011-2012 season were changed. They will be:
Chairperson: Lynn Murphy
Co-Chairperson: Judy Conley
Secretary: Marilyn FritchDiscussions were held on:
1. The need for a Park Historian/Editor for the Sunscaper. Billie Hering will schedule
a meeting for December and JoAnn will place an article in the Activity Sheet. This
person should be proficient in genealogy. [The Secretary contacted a park resident
for suggestions; that resident suggested Bob & Marilyn Turner, Loli Norman and
Lois Emmel; these suggestions should be put on the agenda for the next meeting.]
2. Cookbooks are in and will be sold at Town Hall meetings and Craft Sales. $10 per
copy. It is an excellent cookbook and the committee deserves a round of applause
and thanks.
3. The Veteran's Appreciation Pizza Party on 11-10-11 will be staffed by Gloria and
Lynn. Members are asked to help with setup at 1:00pm.
4. It was discussed that Activities lost money last season. One reason was the up-
front cost for the cookbooks. One idea for cutting costs would be to possibly
eliminate printing so many Activity Sheets. JoAnn's preference would be to have
none put in the mailboxes but to send them by e-mail and only print some that
could be picked up in the Clubhouse. JoAnn will send out an e-mail asking
residents if they would like to get it by e-mail
5. The November Craft Sale will be held on 11/19/11; food will be served from 10am
to noon. Sheri will sell clothing and Norah will sell cookbooks. Dorothy Schultz will
be the cook, Helen will be the "Veggie Cop", Marilyn the cashier, Gloria will do
restocking, and Lynn and Helen will do veggie prep.
6. New noodles for the pool are needed. JoAnn will check with Dale.
7. The Christmas Float is moving along. Needed are a top hat and bonnet; Marilyn
will check with the Sunscape Players when they inventory their props. It was noted
that JoAnn has paint in her office marked "play". Marilyn noted this as she is a
co-producer for the 2012 play and will see it is included in the play's inventory. The meeting was adjourned at 2:15pm. The next meeting will be 11-17-11, 1:00pm in the Clubhouse.
Respectfully submitted, Marilyn Fritch, Secretary
