Absent:  Charlotte Lucchesi, Joanne Carson, Mary Stillwell., Carrie Higgerson, Marilyn Fritch, Sheri James, Carolyn Moore, Billie Hering

 

                        

The meeting was held at the Clubhouse.  Chairperson Lynn Murphy called the meeting to order at 1:00p.m. Lynn had to leave the meeting so the Activity Director conducted the balance of the meeting. The Secretary was absent so these Minutes are taken from notes from the Activity Director.

 

Discussions were held on:

  1. Judy Conley will be away on December 1st, 8th and 1th so will be unable to handle the Thursday ticket sales table.  Gloria will man the table on 12/1, Kathy on 12/8 and Norah on 12/15.
  2. Judy announced she is willing to chair the Park Party Committee; she will not be asking people to solicit prizes from the community.
  3. JoAnn announced the following events:
  4.  Hot Air Balloon Ride 12/15
  5. Jewelry Class on 12/2
  6. Members are asked to talk up the Laughing Bird show on 12/2 and the Turf Paradise Bus Trip on 1/9/12.  A minimum of 40 people is required to meet expenses for the bus trip.
  7. Craft Show 12/10; volunteers were recruited
  8.  Discussion was held on whether or not to have entertainment (line dancers, dance, etc.) at the Park Christmas Party.
  9. We need to begin planning for the Senior Olympics on 3/5/12 – 3/7/12.  What games could be done?

 

The meeting was adjourned.  The next meeting will be 12-1-11, 1:00pm in the Clubhouse.

Note:  Practices have begun for the 2012 play “Bull In A China Shop” which will be presented the week of February 19, 2012.  The cast has been chosen and several support personnel have been lined up but some are still needed.  Director this year is Yvonne LaCoursiere, producers Marilyn Fritch and Jean Hutson.  If you know of anyone interested in participating please contact Yvonne@ ylacoursiere@hotmail.com), Marilyn@ mfritch@neo.rr.com or Jean@ jeanninehu@aol.com.  Practices are held each Sunday and Tuesday from 6-8pm in the Community Center (except holidays).

  3. Carrie Higgerson’s email: rchiggers2@aol.com
  4. Dorothy Schultz is not an actual member of the committee; she only participates in certain events; she doesn’t attend meetings unless an event she is involved with is to be discussed.
