The meeting was held at the Clubhouse. Chairperson Lynn Murphy called the meeting to order at 1:00p.m.
Corrections to the minutes of 12/8/11:
a. Turf Paradise trip – EIGHT of our attendees will have a picture taken in the
winner’s circle, and 40 are needed to sign up.
b. Craft sale: Sheri AND Norah will sell clothing.
Discussions were held on:
1. The next meeting conflicts with the “Meet The Candidates” event so our meeting
will be at 2:00pm rather than 1:00pm.
2. Members are to set up and decorate for the Park Christmas Party at 1:00pm.
3. We ended up with two buses for the Christmas Lights trip as Jo Ann opened it to
another park.
4. It was discussed and voted to start holding prize drawings at the next craft sale.
Jo Ann has a bin full of prizes to use and vendors will be asked to donate some.
Drawings will be held every 15 minutes starting at 9:00 with the last drawing at
11:30. Grand prize will be admission for two to The Duttons. Winner MUST BE
PRESENT TO WIN. This will help keep people at the craft fair.
5. Net craft sale food income at the last event was $111.12.
6. Members are asked to pick up Coke, root beer, diet root beer, Sprite, Pepsi, Diet
Pepsi, Mt Dew, Diet Coke or Coke Zero if they see a good sale price.
7. January 14th Craft Sale:
a. Food will be served 10:30 to 12:30 unless sold out earlier
b. Mary S will sell cookbooks, Gloria H will handle veggies, Charlotte will
be cook’s helper, Lynn will prep veggies, Dorothy S to cook, and Norah
will be cashier. Still need help with clothing sales and a restocker.
c. Inventory was discussed as Jo Ann will be making a trip to Costco
8. Senior Olympics will be March 5, 6 and 7. Be thinking of games and activities
for this event.
9. Jo Ann will be setting up a Tag-a-Long to see Marty Haggard at the Paramount
with group rates.
10. Jo Ann also has info on a Miniature Museum in Tucson for another possible Tag-
a-Long.
11. Billie reported that a new “Sunscaper” is on its way to be headed up by Pat
Kline. A committee of 5 has been formed. The first edition will be January 1,
2012. They will be placed in mailboxes.
12. Dorothy reported on the Mystery Dinner to be held January 28th, 5PM. Tickets
will be $8.00. A Service Auction may be held. Dorothy needs help.
13. Dorothy also reported that ticket sales for New Year’s Eve are slow, and unless
60 are sold by 12/26 the event will be cancelled.
14. A Park Historian is still needed. Billie will bring this up at the next Sunscaper
Committee meeting.
15. Marilyn reported that rehearsals for the Sunscape Players play “Bull In A China
Shop” are going well. Ticket sales begin 1-3-12 before and after the Town Hall.
There will be 3 matinees and 2 evening performances. All will have handicap
seating available. The meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be 1-5-12,

The cast has been chosen and several support personnel have been lined up but some are still needed. Director this year is Yvonne LaCoursiere, producers Marilyn Fritch and Jean Hutson. If you know of anyone interested in participating please contact Yvonne@ ylacoursiere@hotmail.com, mfritch@neo.rr.com or Jean@ jeanninehu@aol.com. Practices are held each Sunday and Tuesday from 6-8pm in the Community Center (except holidays).
