Sunscape Estates RV Park Cooperative -Activity Committee Background
The Activity Committee was formed as a Special Committee, in 2008, when concerned members expressed a need to optimize the activities each season for the benefit of members and guests. The Board of directors recognizing the value of this group to assist the Activity Director to develop the seasonal programs granted them Special Committee status in 2008.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Activities Committee is to assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing activities that meet the interests of the members and visitors of Sunscape RV Resort and to foster a spirit of community and togetherness. The committee consists of the
Chair person, and eight (8) resident volunteers who meet with the Activity Director on a regular basis to share ideas and establish action plans.
Objectives:
- To actively listen to resident’s interests.
- To foster positive Public Relations within the Park. This is to be accomplished by open forums during our meetings to improve interaction with residents of our Co-op.
- To solicit new ideas and suggestions for activities that appeal to a wide population of residents both from committee members and from residents.
- To assist the Activity Director in acquiring volunteer services to support scheduled activities, as needed.
- A top priority will be to document feedback from all new functions.
- To encourage more residents to volunteer of their time and to participate in park activities and events.
- To be fiscally responsible and keep the cost of activities within the Activity budget or find ways to make activities self-supporting.
- To make Sunscape a fun place to live and enjoy life in a friendly atmosphere.
