Job Description


Job Title: HOUSEKEEPER

Purpose of the position:

Under the supervision of the Park Manager, performs housekeeping duties in all buildings and maintains them in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

Functions and Responsibilities

All Buildings (except Clubhouse kitchen):

Cleans, dusts, and polishes furniture, including door knobs, pictures, decorative objects, etc.

Vacuums carpeted areas, mops hard surfaced floors, and spot cleans or shampoos carpets.

Removes cobwebs, cleans light fixtures and replaces light bulbs as needed.

Removes and disposes trash daily.

Washes windows and sills, cleans lights and blinds.

Cleans chairs, tables, equipment, and tops of cabinets.

Keeps entrances clean and clear of debris.

Completes related duties assigned by the manager.

Laundry Rooms;

Sweeps, mops, cleans machines (inside and outside), removes and disposes trash daily.

Washes windows, blinds, and sills.

Cleans behind washers, dryers, and laundry sink.

Restocks paper products and other supplies as needed.

Rest Rooms:

Sweeps, mops, cleans showers, sinks, toilets, urinals and removes and disposes trash daily.

Restocks paper products, soap, and other supplies as needed

 

Exterior of Buildings:

Sweeps or hoses sidewalks and entry ways daily.

Empties ashtrays daily.

Clean and disinfect phone booths daily.

Additional Responsibilities:

Must be fiscally responsible and aware of product costs when ordering supplies.

Reports all repair and maintenance items to the manager.

Performs tasks with minimal supervision and in a timely manner.

Keeps manager informed of problem areas and completes all duties assigned by manager.

The position requires extensive walking, standing, reaching, climbing, (stepstools and ladders) and bending. Also requires the ability to lift items up to 40 pounds.

 

Employment contract will begin September 15, 2006 and end April 15, 2007.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
