Job Description

Job Title: PARK MANAGER

Purpose of the position:

Under the guidance of the President of the board of Directors, manage the daily operation of the Park, direct and monitor the activities of the Park and Volunteer Staff and assure that concerns and question of the resident are addressed in a timely manner.

General Functions and responsibilities:

Interact with all Park residents and guests to assure that the Park by-laws, rules and regulations, and all other guidelines are adhered to.

Maintain a working relationship with the various Park committees, the Board of Directors, and officials of Pinal County as well as other appropriate local and state personnel and officials.

Be the focal point for Park emergencies, problems, questions and situations, and provide leadership in determining the course of action to resolve these issues.

Be the focal point for Park residents concerns and if necessary, direct them to the appropriate committee, staff member, or the Board of Directors for resolution.

Play an integral part in long range and strategic planning for the Park.

Personally assist with the upkeep of the Park during the off season.

Assist taking of reservations during the off season.

Other duties as assigned by the President, Board of Directors.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Recruit and make recommendations to the Board regarding hiring of employees.

Conduct employee performance evaluations as required or a minimum of once a year.

Supervise the Park volunteer staff directly on a daily basis and assign duties and projects.

See that Park and volunteer staff utilize safety equipment and follow appropriate safety procedures.

Develop and implement park procedures and train employees in their use.

Fiscal Responsibilities:

Approve all Park expenditures consistent with budget constraints.

See that all Park bills that have been approved are paid in a timely manner.

Provide financial input to the Finance Committee, participate in the overall budget development process, and be responsible for many of the budget items.

Is authorized to use Park credit cards and charge accounts.

Information Flow:

With the Board of Directors: Accomplished during the winter season via Board Work Sessions, daily contact, or special meetings the Manager may need to call. Accomplished in the summer season via periodic reports (monthly at a minimum) via e-mail or USPS. Special circumstances via telephone contact.
