Ambassador Committee Meeting - December 31, 2008 10am-11:30am

Members Present:
Mary Lawler, Sunny Stimmel
Loli Norman, Sue Wehmer
Millie Schmitz

The meeting was called to order by the chairperson, Sunny Stimmel.

Minutes of November 26 , 2008 were reviewed. Motion was made by Sue Wehmer and seconded by Mary Lawler to accept the minutes as written.

Old Business:

1. Volunteers at the Welcome Center - not all volunteers work the computer so Ambassadors should validate who can give you information regarding the Ambassador visits.

2. Visitor survey sheet returns are still very sparse with only one this month. Discussion followed regarding the importance of the survey results to the park, members making return visits and placing this issue on the Board agenda. Outcome: A) Members can make return visits for the surveys if they chose. B) Sunny will place a note in the Weekly Activity Sheet asking the first time renters to return surveys. C) Sunny and the Board Liaison will meet with the park Manager to further discuss this issue.

3. New Co-op Member - Two visits were made and two more are still pending due to new member schedule conflicts. Contents of the binder were reviewed. Transcend Broadband never did send any brochures so Sunny added the contact telephone number in the information. The Vial of Life information has been added and a vial can be picked up at the Welcome Center prior to making a visit to the new member. Billie Hering has volunteered to design a cover sheet for the binder. Outcome: A) Add a page to the binder informing the new co-op member to place their Park By-Laws, Park Rules & Regulations and the Architectural Committee Rules in the binder. B) Sunny will follow-up on the progress of the cover sheet with Billie H.

New Business:

1. Millie Boone has asked this committee if they would interview new co-op members and submit the information for the Sunscaper. Millie B had been doing this prior to the lot expansion in the park. It was agreed that this is a nice way to announce new members but issues of privacy arose and perhaps just listing the new co-op members names with the lot number would be sufficient. Outcome: A) Members are not comfortable doing the interviews and due to the number of Ambassadors, the interviews would be in danger of being inconsistent.

2. Printing the “Welcome to Sunscape Resort” sheet for the Visitor Packet - the Welcome Center cannot print large quantities on their color printer. Outcome: A) Packet information with color embellishment will be taken for printing outside the park. B) This particular sheet should be reviewed for content and the possibility of copying it on colored paper should be considered.

The meeting adjourned at 11:15 and visitor packets were assembled.

Respectfully submitted;
