Ambassador Committee Meeting - February 25, 2009 10am-11:30am

The meeting was called to order by the chairperson, Sunny Stimmel.
Minutes of January 29, 2009 were accepted as written. Motion was made by Sue Wehmer and seconded by Norah Sostrom. Billie Hering was introduced as a new volunteer.
Old Business
Follow-up from January minutes.
The revised cover sheet for New Member binder. Was displayed and all members agreed to begin using this one. Many thanks to Billie for her creativity in designing the cover sheet.
New Business
Sunny will begin posting the results of the Visitor Survey in the designated area for park member access.
“Welcome to Sunscape Resort” sheet for the Visitor Packet. Members gave input for revisions. It was also decided to add an Ambassador/Lot signature area on this sheet and eliminate the use of the sheet listing all the Ambassadors names.
Cost of Packets - Presently the cost per packet is estimated at $1.32 with approximately $105.60 being spent during a season. The majority of the cost is in printing four sheets of information at the Welcome Center. The remainder of the packet contents is provided by the Chamber of Commerce at no cost. Eliminating one sheet of paper will reduce each packet by 15 cents and therefore bringing the cost down to $1.27 per packet.
Members felt it was very important for visitors to receive information regarding garbage and recycling. Outcome: Sunny and the Board Liaison will ask the Manager if the Welcome Center Staff could give the information to all renters.
Budget - Norah & Sunny will prepare the budget for the next season and submit it to the Finance Committee as directed.
Committee goals were reviewed and re-written to reflect activities for the next season. Copy attached to minutes.
Roundtable
New committee members felt it was very beneficial to have an experienced Ambassador accompany them on the first visit. Isobel G, Sue W and Sunny S will not be members next season and were thanked for their contributions to the committee. The meeting for March will be cancelled and meetings reconvene the last Wednesday of October.
The meeting adjourned at 11:25am and visitor packets were assembled.
