Do you have a Sunscape nametag?
Do you wear it? We’d like to see you wear your nametag every time you are out and about in the park so we’re having a contest. If you are seen wearing your nametag, your name will be put in a monthly drawing for a free Sunscape T-shirt or hat. This contest will only run during the season. So put on your nametag and we’ll see you around! The monthly winner will be announced at the next month’s Town Hall Meeting.

The winners of the $26 drawings at the Arizona Opry were Kathleen Pagel and Gloria Atkinson.

Don’t forget to try all of Vera’s Wonderful Meals! Dinner on Tuesday will be Salisbury steak, mashed potato, gravy, vegetable, cole slaw and dessert. Lunch on Thursday will be chicken salad sandwich, ham and cheese and turkey and cheese sandwiches and vegetable soup. Breakfast on Friday morning and cinnamon rolls on Saturday morning. Sign up for dinner at the clubhouse. Please bring your own table service to every meal!

Get out your Muu Muu and surfboard it’s time to hit the beach. Sunscape is going Hawaiian for the Park Party. Mark your calendar for March 10, 11, & 12. We will start off with a real Hawaiian Luau and entertainment. Hawaiian natives will be serving up a catered buffet with Teriyaki chicken, Kalua pork, Island rice, Hawaiian BBQ beans, Tropical Fruit Salad, rolls and Tropical fruit punch. As a special treat for our 10th anniversary the Royal Islander dancers, including a fire dancer, will entertain us. The entertainment will be a no charge gift from the Park Party to all members and renters of Sunscape. Tickets cost $10 and a limited number are available.

Among our biggest fundraisers are the Silent Auction, the Garage Sale, and the Raffle. These are accomplished by donations. We are in need of help with these events and all the donations possible. You don’t have to be a lot owner to volunteer or donate! The following folks are soliciting your help and your donated items:
Garage Sales – contact Gerry & Cliff Grife @ lot 137. Make sure items are in working order please! Don’t
bring large items until March 3rd. Drop off times 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Silent Auction – inside park donations – Mary Jane Boling Lot 178 520-709-1090

This is your 10th Anniversary so give yourself a treat and make this event a real success story. We need volunteers to assist with numerous fun events and will be asking for your help. Please feel free to attend our next meeting on 2/12 at 9:30 in the CH, or contact Judy Conley Lot 270 or by phone 804-339-3438.

Park Party Announcement! It is time again to ask for volunteers to help with canvassing local businesses in Casa Grande, Coolidge and Florence. The gift certificates, merchandise or cash will be used for our silent auction. I need ten couples for this job. That way no one will be over-worked. We will start canvassing in early February. Also need volunteers on March 11th to help set up the silent auction and take a shift on the tables. This is your park party and your help will make this a success. If you are donating an afghan or other knitted item, please tell us a little about the pattern and any special care instructions. Contact Glenn Kissick – lot 333.

Do you love to bake? Here’s your chance to bake some items to help raise funds for park improvements! The Park Party Committee needs lots of volunteers to bake and donate cookies, pies, etc. The Committee also needs four more volunteers to help man the bake sale tables on March 11th. Call 503-537-7179, drop by site 318 or let JoAnn in the Activity Office know you are interested so she can pass your contact info to the committee member in charge of the bake sale.
