Meeting
summary
Mary
Ann Fender called the meeting to order in the Clubhouse at 9:00 am.
Present
were: Ron Anderson, Ron Stockall, Betty Livingston, Isobel Gordon, Damon Hillery,
C.H. Grubb and Board Liason, Gene Wallace.
Calls
were discussed and reviewed.
CPR
and First Aid Class to be held on the 20th of February. Ten persons were signed
up for recertification at this time.
A
member of one of the Park Party committees had asked if the team would participate
in a medical response scenario at the party. It was decided that the cart would
be parked near the fire truck and the equipment would be available for viewing
by the residents rather than doing the scenario.
Several
members of the Response Team offered to help at the Health Fair to fill out Vial
of Life forms, program the emergency number into cell phones and do blood pressures.
Joyce Bingenheimer has offered to help residents record the Vial of Life information using a computer
and printing off a copy and or disc. We would like to see 100% participation in
this Vial of Life program as it makes the emergency calls easier to make decisions
and treatments. It also gives the ambulance crew and hospital all the information
they require, speeding their response as well. The Vial of Life forms will be
available to persons requesting them at the Health Fair and Sunscape annual meeting.
