Summary for February 2007

          No medical calls during this month

          CPR and First Aid class recertification held; 10 recertified CPR, 6 did  First Aid

          Health Fair was held with members participating

Meeting summary:

Mary Ann Fender called the meeting to order in the Conference at 9:00 am.

Present were: Ron Anderson, Betty Livingston, Joyce Bingenheimer, Damon and Lorna Hillery, C.H. Grubb, George Bush, Ron Stockall, Gene Wallace, Board liason, and our new Manager, Jim Mashek. The Manager was introduced to team members.

Although February had no calls, we did discuss the two we had during the beginning of March. Calls were without incident.

The Safety Procedure Manual for the park has had all of the medical portion updated and included into the park copy. Copies of the Medical Response Procedure and Medical Supplies on the cart were handed out to attendees and then discussed. Ron Anderson said that our team has been working very well together this year.  This update is intended for continuity as new members come on. The team has received several comments supporting our activity from park members and the Board this year.

New glove box holders have been added on the lid of the supply box on the Medical Cart to improve accessibility and organization. Safety goggles are also on hand as well as a nose clip. Ron Stockall is going to put reflective tape on the supply box to located the light switch during night calls.

Thanks were given to the members that helped with the Health Fair: Ron Anderson, Joyce Bingenheimer, Isobel Gordon and Ron Stockall. We had a chance to give information to many attending the fair.

It was requested to set up another CPR and First Aid Class for members that weren't able to attend the last one. The instructor will be contacted and a date set.

Although it was not brought up at the meeting, The AED trainer will be sent back to the manufacturer to program the new standards. This will complete the incorporation of the new standards of CPR with our training.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:00.
