Toma Chesness

Toma and Jim Chesness (count as a team) are the architects and worker bees for our fabulous cactus garden out front, as well as much of that on the west side of the park. They feel the entrance to the park reflects on the park and they like it to look "tidy and neat." They pot and plant plants and flowers throughout the park. They have personally selected, hauled and placed about 90% of the rocks. Toma says she can't pass a weed without plucking it or napping off a "dead head." Toma can often be seen weeding around the Club House. They have been coming to Sunscape since 1991 and have planted about 50 oak trees in the park. As they don't like meetings it is their way to contribute to our community. Jean Waller is responsible for the propagation of most of the cactus out in the garden. The garden may be enter through park-owned Lot 22 and there are several other exit gates. There is also a picnic table and benches -- but please -- not pets.
