SCARLET DARLIN’S TEA
Minutes November 11, 2011

Welcome at 2PM, the member signup and dues collection was available at a separate table and we had time to visit. I reminded everyone that the current picture binder was available at the treat table, the previous seasons are available and are kept in the Scarlet Darlins’ cabinets.  Pictures were taken and time was provided to enjoy the treats provided by the Hostesses.

Meeting is called to order.

First item: I asked that each of you think about volunteering as a host for the April Tea or ANY outing throughout the season,  and reminded everyone that if there is anything you would like to do with a few friends, it may be an outing idea. The December Pot Luck needed at least 2 hosts, since those that had volunteered were unable to follow through; it is a fairly simple set up and includes the white elephant gift exchange. We proceeded to have volunteers for December and January teas. We will still need others for the April tea, and December, January, February, March and April Outings. It was brought up that Carol McGhie did such an outstanding job on the last PJ Party; we would approach her to see if she would be willing to do so again.

Lorraine Durkan, Nancy Dimick and Marion Wallin are celebrating Birthdays this month and Happy Birthday was sung. There were no visitors.

Lady Sunshine update, Billie is doing better, and I think Loli/Steve are getting along and Linnea is home and Mary Sorenson is home, and all continue to need our thoughts and prayers. If there are there any other members Past/Present that need our support, please let Lee Williams or myself know so that we may send our regards.

OLD BUSINESS:

Dorothy Schultz invited the Scarlet Darlin’s to participate in a skit for the next New Years Eve Party. Please let me know who will be willing to participate and I can let Dorothy know. She has only heard from one of us so far.

The outing sign up sheet for November is available and has been posted. It was passed around and reposted after the meeting. We will leave from the clubhouse at 8:30am on Wednesday November 16th. The information in the current activity sheet is incorrect.

NEW BUSINESS:

No new business.

The meeting is adjourned and turned over to the Hostesses.

The hostesses surprised us with a Hawaii theme and a pineapple treat, a few of us were persuaded to have fun with hula dancing and 2 games were played; The have you done something or not with the person doing ten of the activities named being the winner (Sandy Mueller), and the unwrapping a multi layer wrapped gift 1 layer at a time without disturbing the next layer eliminating anyone that tore the next layer, until the last layer was removed and the person who removed the last layer was the winner (Marion Wallin).
