SCARLET DARLIN’S TEA
Minutes October 11, 2011

 

Marion Wallin welcomed members and guests at 2PM, the member dues were collected,. And pictures were taken. The archived and last year binders were passed around.

 

Meeting is called to order.

 

First item: Marion asked for assistance this year as co-queen Mary Lawler advised that her health will not allow her to continue. Marion may need help on occasion and will ask for volunteers as needed.

 

There were no Birthdays present. We had 4 visitors; Millie Schmitz, Carmen Garland, Gloria Hornbeck, and Mary Domejka.

 

Lady Sunshine update, Lee has sent cards to Linnea Bolm, and Margaret Erickson, and Marion sent Lee Williams a card this summer. Lee passed around another card for Linnea Bolm and will be sending Loli Norman and Rose Marsh a card of support.

 

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Dorothy Schultz invited the Scarlet Darlin’s to participate in a skit for the next New Years Eve Party. Please let me know who will be willing to participate and I can let Dorothy know. She has only heard from one of us so far.

 

The Outing for October will be going to Florence for a tour of the Courthouse and cemetery, guided tour cost of $5. This will be on Monday, October 31, leaving from gates by 9:15am. The lunch and additional activity will be determined by each car.

 

The Outing for November will be going to the Mini Time Museum (a Museum of Miniatures – cost $6) in Tucson and lunch at (Dakota Café) in Trail Dust Town in Tucson. This will be on Wednesday, November 16^th, leaving the gates at 8:30am.

 

The outing signup sheets for October and November are available now and have been posted.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

No new business presented.

 

The meeting is adjourned and turned over to the Hostesses (Mary Jane Bollig & Lee Williams). We had a beautiful and lovely desert and Halloween treat bag. A game was played and Millie Schmitz won a door prize. Then numbers were drawn and Sandy Mueller won a door prize. Thank you ladies!
