Don Frank was born October 20, 1934 in Jay, OK to Arthur
and Opal (McRae) Frank. Don married Joanne D. Chapman in September 1957
in Walla Walla, WA. He attended school at Eastern Oregon College, University
of Idaho and Gonzaga and Eastern Washington. He was an Associated Member
of the N.A.S.W. National Association of Social Works. He loved fly fishing,
building fly rods, hunting and especially being around his grandchildren.
He served with the US Army. Don worked for the State of Idaho Department
of Health & Welfare for 32 years. He served in numerous positions,
beginning as a social worker in 1960 until his retirement in 1992 as
Bureau Chief. Served on numerous councils and groups relating to Child
Welfare Services over the years. Survivors include: his wife Joanne;
children, Kellie Canger and her husband Edward of Post Falls, ID and
son Steve Frank and his wife Kerrie of Greenacres, WA; grandchildren
Anthony and Nicholas Canger and Don and Kiley Frank; sisters, Betty
Gammell of Hermiston, OR, Patricia Dixon, Vicki VanHorn, and Kathy Gibbon,
all of Lewiston, ID; and brother George Frank of Clarkston, WA. Memorial
Services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the River
of Life Friends Church, 3263 E. 12th, Post Falls. Please sign Don's
